About This Class
No matter what you specialize in builder gel, acrylic with tips or forms, or even gel polish prep is where it all begins. Nothing lasts without a solid foundation.
This class is designed for students who struggle with lifting, retention, or truly understanding the why behind every step. If you can’t confidently explain or teach nail prep to someone else, this breakdown will fill in every gap.
We’ll start by prepping two fingers on your own hand using a wooden pusher to gently lift and expose the cuticle area. From there, you’ll watch a live demo on how to safely use a cuticle bit, followed by hands-on practice. After each step, personalized feedback is provided to help you correct technique and improve control. Next, you’ll learn how to properly use a sanding band to cleanse the nail plate and create the perfect surface for adhesion. Once prep is complete, we’ll walk through how to apply both a nail tip and a form breaking down the differences and best practices for each system.
This is a group learning environment designed for engagement and real-time feedback. You’ll gain not only instructor guidance but also peer learning by observing others work and asking questions throughout the process.
By the end of this class, you’ll understand exactly why prep is the most important step of any nail service and how to make your sets last.
