How to Use

For Independent Nail Technicians: Step-by-Step Acrylic Application Using MakarttPro Professional Products
1. Prepare Your Workspace Set up a clean, well-lit area with good ventilation. Lay down a lint-free towel or disposable nail mat. Have your tools ready:
* 100% MakarttPro Kolinsky Acrylic brush
* Dappen dish
* MakarttPro EMA Acrylic Low Odor Monomer
* MakarttPro acrylic powder
* Lint-free wipes
* Nail prep products (dehydrator, primer)

2. Sanitize and Prep the Nails Clean your client’s or your own hands with hand sanitizer.
* Push back cuticles
* Lightly buff the natural nail surface
* Remove all dust and oils
* Apply nail dehydrator, followed by primer Let both products dry completely before moving to the next step.

3. Pour Products Into Dappen Dishes
* Pour a small amount of MakarttPro Acrylic Low Odor Monomer into one dappen dish
* Pour a small amount of your chosen MakarttPro Cover or Clear Powder into a second clean dish or use a clean surface

4. Saturate Your Acrylic Brush Dip your acrylic brush fully into the monomer to saturate the bristles.
* Gently wipe one side of the brush on the edge of the dappen dish to remove excess liquid
* This step is key for avoiding overly wet beads that run or flood the cuticle area

5. Pick Up the Acrylic Bead
* Lightly dip the tip of your brush into the acrylic powder
* Watch the bead form—a perfect bead should be semi-glossy and hold its shape without flattening too fast
* Wait 1-2 seconds for it to reach ideal consistency before applying

6. Apply the Bead to the Nail
* Place the bead on the nail surface (typically near the apex or center)
* Pat and press to shape the product, working toward the cuticle and free edge
* Use light strokes for precision and even distribution
* Avoid overworking the product to maintain clarity and structure

7. Repeat for Each Section and Nail
* Use multiple smaller beads for better control if needed
* Continue building structure with additional beads (cuticle bead, apex bead, free edge bead, etc.)
* Work one nail at a time to avoid premature setting

8. Allow Acrylic to Fully Cure
* Let the acrylic dry naturally—usually within 2–3 minutes depending on room temperature and product thickness
* Check for a soft tap sound (not tacky or sticky) before filing

9. File and Refine
* Shape the nails using a 100/180 grit file
* Refine the surface with a buffer for a smooth finish
* Remove dust with a soft brush or lint-free wipe

10. Finish and Seal
* Apply your choice of top coat (gel, matte, or regular)
* Cure if using gel top coat
* Finish with cuticle oil for hydration and shine
